What began with two smartphones and a shared fascination with imagery became a lifelong journey of photography, storytelling and human connection.
2015 · THE BEGINNING
It started with
a spark.
It all began in 2015. While Chandu was studying engineering and Madhu was studying B.Com, photography started as a small spark that quickly grew into an uncontainable passion.
Equipped with nothing more than basic smartphones — a Motorola and a Sony Xperia T2 Ultra — the journey of chasing frames and finding art in everyday moments started.
SINCE 2002
A friendship behind
every frame.
As childhood friends growing up together, Chandu and Madhu shared a parallel fascination with imagery. Hours were spent taking photos, experimenting with phone photo editors, and sharing visual stories on social media.
2016 · THE PURSUIT OF CRAFT
The camera became
the teacher.
Without formal training, every frame became an opportunity to experiment, learn and improve.
By 2016, the horizon expanded. Investing in a first dedicated camera — a modest Nikon D3200 with a single kit lens — sparks turned into relentless, hands-on experimentation.
From capturing nature at Lalbagh and Cubbon Park, to waiting on the roads of Nandi Hills to frame airplanes taking off near the airport, and documenting road trips on bikes, photography became an essential lens for viewing the world.
Without formal training, the camera became the ultimate teacher.
Mastering the Fundamentals
Endless hours were spent understanding ISO, focus, depth of field and the nuances of daylight versus nighttime exposures.
Embracing Errors
Technical mistakes were treated not as setbacks, but as valuable lessons that built deep-seated creative confidence.
Finding the Frame
Nature, road trips, city life and everyday moments became opportunities to understand photography.
THE FIRST CHAPTER
From one ceremony
to many stories.
That first client loved the authentic approach, and word of mouth spread rapidly. Soon, requests came in for naming ceremonies, birthday parties, intimate family gatherings, and eventually, full-scale weddings.

Being present for a wedding means stepping into the inner circle of a family — sharing laughter with the couple, connecting with parents and siblings, and feeling the profound, quiet weight of moments like the Muhurtham.
Every wedding is treated as an entirely blank canvas. The objective is never to simply document what happened, but to create a visual story that feels uniquely personal.

2017 · TAKING THE LEAP
Two lives.
One destination.
For a brief period starting in 2017, balancing double lives became the norm.
Working full-time corporate jobs in MNCs to build initial stability meant editing late into the night, managing client calls during breaks, and taking leaves to shoot events.
Despite the demanding schedule, the destination was clear. Corporate routines provided stability, but photography provided true fulfillment.
2018 · EXPANDING HORIZONS
From personal stories
to the larger stage.
CaM Photography began making a strong mark in Bengaluru's corporate and celebrity sector.
A pivotal turning point came when renowned actor, celebrity and entrepreneur Sphoorthi Vishwas trusted CaM Photography for a major portfolio shoot.
The striking visual results gained widespread visibility, opening doors across the industry.
Later that year, CaM Photography was chosen to cover the prestigious Karnataka Women Achievers Awards, marking a major entry into high-profile corporate documentation.
